5-in-5

Working alongside Wallace + Wallace fencing, Ace Burpee and the Virgin 103.1 team set out to build 5 outdoor ice skating rinks in 5 hours for deserving families during the peak of a COVID-19 lock-down. Families were nominated with stories and situations ranging from local business owners feeling the challenging times, to single parents doing the very best they can despite medical hardships. The Virgin 103.1 team wanted to provide something positive in these families’ lives and give them an opportunity and a place to spend quality time with one another, all in their own back yard.

A short documentary video campaign was developed to document the building process and record the reactions of the eagerly waiting families for their new ice skating rinks. Beginning at 5:00am, Wallace + Wallace and the Ace Burpee team was on site to complete their 5-in-5 challenge.
